Here's my take...good paint and interior will go a long way in appealing to a buyer who wants a Healey to enjoy right away, doesn't want a project car and isn't overly concerned about origiality. Given that your car needs both paint and interior, it will probably exclude such buyers and put it in a category where originality will be more of a factor in determining value.

you've correctly i.d. the whinner with a sound tranny.4-5 yrs ago had an OD problem,the pump plunger wheel was erroded.in process discovered composition [nylon??]debris in OD sump, i've made countless inquires as to the source,beings there is no known synthetics in this assymbly,it is suggested that a ball bearing cage[sometimes plastic]let go. bottom line all these yrs later, she sounds-functions just fine. there is a lot unsaid about a guy with big ears and a stethascope!!!!!
