Have a MGB cylinder head which has been resurfaced, I would like to know how much metal has been removed.
Present height is Front RH & LH 55.26mm / 2.1756"
Rear RH & LH 55.34mm / 2.1787" (.08mm/.003" taper)
Questions are (1)How much has the depth been reduced.(2) Limit before compression ratio becomes a broblem, used as a normal car not a sports. (3)Any effect on valve gear operation ? Have read somewhere about shims under valve rocker pedestals, none fitted at present. No mention in Leyland MGB manual. (4) Engine number 18GBUH17955.
