Hello all, I have removed just about everything on my wrecked TR6 that was bolted or screwed on and am about to scrap the remains but can't bring myself to do that until I at least try to cut ot some of the useable panels. The LH floor panel is useable as are the rear deck, inner fenders etc. Any advice as to the best way to go about this would be greatly apreciated. My skills with a torch are mediocre at best so I will inlist my fathers help, then if we are successful, dose anybody need any of these parts? Thanks.

STEP AWAY FROM THE TORCH!
Best way to part out the pieces is to use, IMO, a reciprocating saw. Quick and easy...down and dirty, and nothing gets burned or set on fire.
if you don't already have one, check Harbor Freight...$20 on sale now.

Personally, I would clean the joints up with a cup wire brush on an angle grinder to make the spot welds holding the panels in place more visible. Then I would drill out all of the spot welds.
You end up with the panel you want that is ready for use when needed. Before storing, I would shoot the bare metal with a spray bomb to keep for rusting.

Thank you Doug and Jim. I don't know why I didn't think of theese ideas myself. I guess I'm just overwhelmed with emotion about letting go of her. I've had this car since I was sixteen. Thanks guys.

Joe - a cutting disk on an angle grinder and/or Sawzall will make short work for it.

No ideas about how to address the pit in you stomach. Even when I've cut up cars that were goners and not mine I still feel queasy doing it.

Hang in there.

Thanks skip I'l sleep better kowing i'm not the only one.
