TR6 Custom TR6 Center Console

After finishing my leather interior panels I decided to tackle a leather covered center console. After taking a few measurements, it was basic carpentry 101 using some 3/8" plywood that I had laying around. Actually I had everything I needed sitting in the workshop with the exception of a $5 piano hinge. This may be the best $5 I've ever spent on the car. My site is updated with the whole process but here's a couple of pictures:

The next two pictures show why I added the skirt to the console. I didn't like that you could still see the vinyl handbrake cover. The skirt covers it all up.

Very nice! If only you were interested in starting a cottage industry for yourself. Just a little bit of modification and I think that would look good in a TR4 too!
