To dip a body from a full frame car the body alone is about $1600.00, for each part ie door fender they get about $150 per part a little more for a large part like a hood.
To dip a unibody shell like the beemer it was $2400 for the shell, their comment was you wont have to restore a frame so this is how they justify charging more?
All I can say is it saves me time from burning out by dipping them and the job is much more professional and ALL of the rust is removed.

Wow, for that price you could have picked up a clean shell from Cali. If you find yourself needing info or parts, here is a great forum for the 02. It has been very helpful in my 02 race car build.
