Mrs JP & I are in Hilton Head for a week of Continuing Education (self directed) and R&R. First border crossing since Feb 2020 (remember supper at the Columbia friends?)

So far so good in terms of travel & ease etc. AND in an exciting development we got USA pay as you go SIM cards for our phones. (iphone 13) A weeks agoe we went to eSIMs with our CDN account so, dropped into T Mobile in Buffalo got a pay as you go SIM and not too much later Bob's you uncle! They cost $15 (plus $5 setup) for a month - compared to $15 a day from our company to use our phones here)

So delighted to have - especially data for the google and google maps - but, less than 12 hours in, Mrs JP had already received her first phishing text (forst text at all come to that) and 20 hours in - me also! amazing.

South Carolina huh? - You can come
through Roanoke on your return trip.
If you come on the 12th,you can see
"Grand Prix" on the big screen!

Let's see how it goes - I suspect we are going through DC this round, but, we will get there I promise.

BTW did you get the PM I sent?

Wow. But you got some enviable work done "domestically" in that time! 👍

Yep, remember the Columbia well. But Jim and I haven't had a face-to-face since. Need to fix that!

Elliot managed an escape from "winter" and a meet-up a couple months ago, that was a good day too.

we are booked for the first two weeks of December God willing and the creek don't rise we can gather again. (IIRC there were others in the area who, had they known, might have also gathered)

Thatt bein' the case, p'raps a day rather than just a couple hours?

I’m sure someone here knows the true meaning of “ God willing and the creek don’t rise “:
