Yep, the 215 was a Buick/Olds engine.

So, does he want a TR8? Or a TR7 that's had the Rover implant?
 
I think he probably heard just enough to know that some of the the TR7s (probably diden't know there was an 8) came with the, once a GM design, V8.
Definatly someone who has a limited knowlege of what he's after.
It'd probably be easier for him to find an older Land Rover if all he's looking for is the V8. Unless he's trying to replace the powerplant in a TR7 he's just recently aquired.

In the UK the very few Vs were called TR7-V8, not TR8. Maybe that's also what he's heard?
