cup holder non bj8 classic

Offline
gents lots a stuff goin round bout "cup holders" for bj8's well heres one i did for my bj7 (cuz they rule) it simple, hidden when not in use, the 3" center hole will accommodate most small and large cups, inexpensive, quick to make, the plastic piece i used for the holder itself came from a directional valve from a central shop vac. of course metal can be used for this but i found the plastic will flex when you hit a bump and not splash your favorite beverage into the cockpit. enjoy and "happy fathers" day to all. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/savewave.gif

Happy Fathers Day all and to you Anthony7x4,
Guilty as charged about "cup holders" No good deed goes unpunished.

Speaking of ruling, dude you rock.
I post photos of how I do things, you actually draft an engineering break down how to!

Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Roger

Dude -

I agree, you do totally rock and thanks for the Happy Father's Day wish!!!

Just one questions... what's the remote for?

no guys the remote is not for the cup holder though thats a pretty cool idea, its for the cars stereo. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/savewave.gif

Am I to assume that the stereo knobs too far for you to reach in your Healey?

knobs? what knobs? my radio dont need no stinkin knobs, unlike some other healy owners that can appear to be slaves to authenticity and opt to drive around with the original "gugliemo marconi" signiture model radios that dont perform and arent able to hear a darn thing out of them i prefer something a bit more contemporary i dont like leaning over to select or adjust anything while im driving, with the remote i dont even have to look. i keep it velcroed to the trans.tunnel but as you can see in the pics. its been removed for an engine and trans. rebuild. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

sounds like somebody is getting a little defensive...

I believe the question was about your need for a remote in a Healey, but obviously they didn't realize that you suffer from a terrible disability that has rendered your radio button pushing finger unusable, except for limited bodily functions, known as the "gugliemo marconi syndrome."

shg, you be right! but wouldnt you be just a bit grumpy with the nice weather finally here, the engine rebuild essentially complete, and your OEM oil pump was sitting in kennedy since last thursday waiting to clear customs? and evertime i walk in the shop i smack my big toe on that jack i should have shipped to you 2 months ago? now that i think about it when you finally do get it i recommend you use it to sooth your case of "gugliemo marconi" /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif and you should talk about radios when all you have in your car is "tester" crystal set!!!!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

He need to keep the finger free for signals.

Do you mean he needs to keep his middle finger free for signalling other drivers on the freeway?
