CSRG Charity Challenge - Saturday Race on YouTube

Re: CSRG Charity Challenge - Saturday Race on YouT

Scott - Sweet race......classic english light weight agility vs. American muscle. Tony's a pretty good shoe tearing up the NW tracks for a long time. With temperatures that high I'm surprised the Porsche's still could hang. I saw Ed had a DNF at Monterey, how did he fare for the weekend? Wish I was there, but the big Healey's not very happy over 100 degrees.

Neat!
(are you sure that 356 didn't have a 911 engine? :jester: )

That race track is on a far different planet from me.

We're heading to Watkins Glen in two weeks.
We'll have run anti-freeze (for the overnight parking) and probably tape off part of our radiators.
An oil cooler will be pointless.
Last year I forgot to bring my ice-scraper for the tow-van windows.

All that sandy background reminds me of Bridgehampton, which we eastern racers lost in the late 90s (it's a golf course now).

Re: CSRG Charity Challenge - Saturday Race on YouT

Thanks guys.... Its the first time i've seen that particular ( ARTHUR CONNER - 356 ) and its my understanding he is from the NW as well. And yes where most all Porsches started to fade, he just kept on going. It's my understanding he's an engine builder as well. The water temp in The Pile went to 210 degrees, with fan on... and oil pressure did drop due to heat. I was a bit down on power and discovered my ignition module was starting to fail.

Doug... We worked on Eds car all day Saturday in Monterey and wasn't until we got home that his ignition module had failed completely. Last weekend he broke an axle (first one for us in the MGAs)

Have fun at Watkins Glenn - its on my track bucket list!
