Crystal Cove [Newport Beach] Cancelled!

Just read in the OC Post (publication of the Orange County Register) that the weekly Newport Beach car show is being cancelled after October 14! The Irvine Company, owner of the Crystal Cove Promenade, cited the event's size and noise complaints. Starting as a gathering of a few friends three years ago, it's grown to a weekly gathering of 200 cars and 600 people.

The search is on for a new venue. Meanwhile, down the street, the Donut Derelicts (Huntington Beach) motor on...

Yep, that's a major rip - I frequented with my surf blue mini and was looking forward to bringing my Sprite down when it was done. Only two more saturdays. I'm planning on going next week, which will be the last.
 
We are all looking for another place to try and replace CC.
Maybe at the Ford Premier Auto Group Building near the
Irvine Spectrum. Many Ferrari guys are trying to get that together.
I have been going to CC from the begining. I found my 1974
Triumph there!
I will post here what I find out about possiable other sites.

Nothing will ever replace Crystal Cove. But we will try.
