The Crypt Car has never been driven at night
due to lack of an electrical system and being
stone cold dead for the past 15 months during
a serious effort restoration by owner and Team BCF.
Since Crypty has been operational now about 2 weeks,
Wendy and I loaded the trunk with emergency repair
gear and headed down the beach highway at dusk to
check out the entire car rewire system and lights.
All lights including high beams and dash functional.
We pulled off into a local biker bar for a tall cold one.
Being an ex-biker myself, the bikers all gathered around
Crypty and wanted the hood popped to view the engine.
Great bunch of guys and gals who can appreciate the effort
that went into getting Crypty operational.
An all time new record for the Crypt Car was set today.
1/4 tank of gasoline consumed without a breakdown or
call to the towing service. No raging inferno from flooded carbs, no popped hydraulic lines. Made it home alive.
