Well thanks one and all. I sure do appreciate all
the advice and kind words. Sometimes I get a little down
in the dumps with this Crypt project that never ends.
Yesterday scared the daylights out of me; almost
losing a wheel at 40 mph-in a curve I usually take
at 60 mph.
They say a smart man knows when he's over his head and
when to ask for help. It's been said by some that I am
not a stupid person. Others that I'm a fool.
For sure I am in over my head on this one.
The local island talent installed those helicores that
failed on me with my wife in the car. Nuff said?
I've got the Armstrong shock unhooked and the T/A lowered
with the coil spring out of compression. Next I'll pull the
T/A out and box it up for Paul.
When Paul's T/A arrives I'll install new bushings, bolts,
nuts, rubber pieces, etc. I'll pay a mechanic to make a
house call and reinstall the rear wheel brake pieces I
removed. I'll keep throwing out photo for the new TR owners
to learn from my attempts.
Oh Paul, if that not asking too much....
could you maybe have the T/A powder coated a pleasing
orange to go with my yellow coil springs? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif
Getting there but done for today-
