We've had a beautiful hot week-end here in new Mexico so this morning the wife and I fired up the MGC-GT and went for a cruise. We also took it out for the first time in over a month when we met my son and his family up at a local Thai eatery near the AF Base. After driving there and on the way home my wife said"you sure like the sound of this car don't you??" How can you not? Since our accident after the resto on the car, we've put just 200 miles on it. Today we blew it out a bit and now we're home changing MGs, putting the top down on the B and heading out for a drive in that one. I'm considering storing them for the winter in my shop but there are so many days to enjoy them in what is usually mild winters. Yesterday I fired up one of my 911s, but the MGs are still my favorite.

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif They make *proper* noises for a sportscar IMO.

Enjoy!

Cruising is great! My Dad and I spent the whole morning & afternoon working on the house. After we were done, I put the other seat in the car and we went up to World Market for a sixer of Old Speckled Hen. After some begging I let him drive Charlotte home. I think i'll surprise my GF and pick her up in the B as well.

I hope you made him buy the Speckled Hen! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Edit - I did the same thing yesterday. Could've done work on the car (new dizzy and alternator) but said to heck with it. That's why we have these things, isn't it?

After cleaning out the shop so I can continue work on the TR8, I decided to take the MGB out for a bit before our "Blessing of the Animals" service this afternoon. Beautiful day here - about 75 and no clouds to speak of. Life is good!

Rainy here all weekend...MG's all sat around while we cruised in the people mover Caddy....Which has developed a vibration in the front end /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

BTW: Jack, if you think 200 miles since your accident is bad...I've driven my 58 A maybe 200 miles in the last 5 years! But my wife makes up for it with her 61...I am sure she's probably well over a few thousand miles since May.

Nope, oddly enough. Cool trip nonetheless. Definitely an MG trip. They fit perfectly in the trunk next to the spare tire and behind the fuel pump. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif
