was on my way to church this morning with a little time to kill. The town I (Rockwood ON) was in had a pretty road through it and I passed a convoy - 2 lovely Porsches in front - tops down and in back two BMW Z3's in back roofs down and in the middle a very happy Midget right in the middle - priceless!

Hi Jp,
yes a very happy 66 sprite. My neighbor is a car fanatic, he was driving the slant nose white Porsche. He normally organizes a 200 km run through the country for the Porsche club. This year he decided it would be for his neighbors only. We started in Campbellville and did just over 200km. I clocked 300 kms in total today. In fact on the way back from our run the fuel gauge showed empty, I wondered if it really was empty. The manual says it holds 22.8 liters well I pumped in 23.5 I guess it was really empty. It was a great day and happy to see that my sprite was noticed.
Starting Monday I am taking the front end apart I have brand new wishbones, and kingpins etc. Should keep me busy this week, hoping I can escape work this week.
Last weekend I changed the u-joints it was heck getting the clips out. Putting the drive shaft in was really fun, must thank Jack for his post about duct taping the snout it worked. I had a vibration that I thought was wheel/ suspension related. The U joints fixed my vibration, nice and smooth now.
Cheers Phil

Welcome indeed.

Phil how cool to realize it was you! You just don't see a lot of Midgets anywhere - even Bronte didn't have a lot. (BTW you weren't at Bronte were you?)

Kepp us in the loop and if you need some extra hands, I'm in Waterloo

I was at Bronte for most of the day. My Sprite stayed home, needs paint before I will display. So close to paint but sofar. Did you have a car at Bronte.
out to the garage, just prey work does not call
Phil

no car - just me at bronte - next year I hope and pray - out to the garage with the phone just in case work calls
