TR2/3/3A Crossroads with TR3 restoration

How do you adjust the doors on a TR3? The body shop is really confused on this. everything is done on a "Frame Off" & the doors don't line up anymore.
Help Please!!

Also -- you might want to start a new thread with 'TR3 Door Alignment' in the subject line. That should attract more useful attention.

To start a new thread just click on + Post New Thread on the Triumph Forum page (the one that shows all current threads).

I looked at your pics relative to the "Color" & was trying to figure out if it was a "Bright Yellow, Pale Yellow or Ivory"??

Is the lighting in your stable real poor or just the camera??

LOL on selling the project!! I had a `57 Small Mouth in a similar state of array. I was doing a "Nut & Bolt" Resto on her & It was coming out "Outstanding" until someone screwed up putting the floors in. Long Story.

I lost my ambition at that time & a local gent who stopped by occassionally to see the progress; Always commented on how nice the car looked. She was "Very Highly Detailed" & I ended up selling to him for $13K. Thats what I had in it in parts alone.

I got real lucky, cause as mentioned; Most folks don`t like to "Re-Start" a project.

Also as mentioned; You say you have $35K into it. Well; I guess you know you won`t be getting that back. The question proposed should be "What do you want for her"??

I`d say you surely have around $10K to go to complete her in my opinion.

Place an ad on Ebay with a Reserve that would be your "Rock Bottom" & see what happens?!?!?!?

Best Wishes,

Russ

PS: I just noticed the dates on this thread. What was the outcome????

Note, the "unusual color" is supposed to be Pale Yellow. Tried to match original as best we could.

Speaking of "outcomes" Russ, Did your buyer ever finish "your" project 57? If you recall, I sold you a battery box right before you bailed. I thought that $40 or $50 part was the straw that broke your back!

Alas, John hasn't posted since this thread last July. Hopefully he took the general advice offered here and set the project aside for awhile rather than abandoning it for a fraction of the money he had in it.
