Crossmember Pad Replacement

Hi Guys,
I am contemplating replacing the crossmember pads on my 1977 MGB. I believe there is a way of doing this without actually dropping the crossmember from the car but I can't find the method anywhere. I have already replaced the front suspension bushes with Poly, replaced the front wheel bearings and just want to finish the job with the crossmember pads. can anyone please help?

You have to jack up/support the transmission anyway, pull the four bolts and drop it. Makes life a little easier. JMHO. PJ
