I finally did it. I crossed over this week. Found a 1964 MB 230 SL. Pretty decent little car. The 64 230 compared to a TR4 is night and day. Still love my TR's but this MB is miles ahead in quality. Don't know squat about it yet but may be a convert.

They are soooo pretty - good luck!

Always thought an early ('67) 280_SL would be nice. One with a standard trans.

As I understand the 230 is the reviest and sportiest of the 230/250/280.

Right out of college (1977) I moved into a neighborhood in which a lady drove a 280SL. It didn't hurt that she was extremely attractive.

Must be! I did get it cranked yesterday and drove it out of the shop. It has shifter linkage issues, have to order some parts. OCH!
