Crazy Triumph Question

Does anyone know or can anyone estimate the total number of Triumph sports cars produced (TR's, Spitfires, Roadsters, etc?) I know there were about 95K TR6's and I think about 40K TR4's.

No reason for the question other than curiosity ... I was wondering if the total was anywhere near a million vehicles.

Thanks.

Matt

About 80 kiloTR2-3s.

According to "Triumph Cars""

1800 Roadster 2501
2000 Roadster 2000
TR2 8628
TR3 13377
TR3A 58236
TR3B 3331
TR4 40253
TR4A 28465
TR5 2947
TR250 8484
TR6 94619
TR7 112368
TR8 2722
Spitfire 4 45753
Spitfire Mk2 37409
Spitfire Mk3 65320
Spitfire Mk4 70021
Spitfire 1500 95829
GT6 Mk1 15818
GT6 Mk2/+ 12066
GT6 Mk 3 13042

There - I typed them in - you can work out the total!

There were also a lot of saloons - over 200,000 Herald 1200s alone!

Sometimes surprises people that the most numerous TR was the TR7... but there you have it.

I did not know the TR7 was the most numerous TR. Its too bad we can't do survival percentage. I am sure the TR7 would score low there.

218,503 are Spitfires.

And I know for a fact that at least a couple dozen of them were not painted Red (though they are hard to find at most shows).

But I'll bet every single one has been red at some point in it's life !
