TR6 Crankshaft long seal surface

Looking for a crank for my 72 TR6 and came across a crank that has a long rear seal surface. Seller says it’s a long snout for a TR6 ??
Can anyone tell me what the application is for this crank.

Crank still at machine shop. He thinks #3 would have to be welder and then turned .030 to cleanup the whole crank

"Titanic" is correct...plus, always have any crankshaft crack tested.
