TR2/3/3A Crankcase Ventilation

I have a '59 TR3 with a draft tube venting the crankcase. I want to remove the draft tube and replace it with a tube to a canister to catch oil expelled from the engine. Does anyone know how the draft tube connects to the engine block and what type of fitting can be attached to accept a tube?
