Does anyone have any experience with the Carne XR3000 ignition system? All input will be appreciated.

No not that model Michael. However, IMOP they all have too many bits a bobs to suite me. Whats wrong with the new Pertronix units?--Simple as can be.---Keoke

Keoke has the Yoda insight.....

unless your running BIG compresion (over 12:1) you might not need all the eyewash. A box will keep the motor cleaner at low rpm with excessively rich fuel mixture but in what we do this should not happen. ( the fatness , not the idling).

Most BCF regulars know my aversion to the "iggy-in-a-box" but this is ~different~. For a racing app, the Pertronix unit is... mmm... well, it's "most appropriate". The Crane unit -is- "prettier" tho. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
