I wasn't sure where to post this, so I will try here, has anyone had good luck trying to buy something off Craigslist.

I see things of interest from time, to time, and though I haven't kept track of the exact number I have used the e-mail the seller option maybe half a dozen to a dozen times.

I have not gotten one response.

Is this typical?, just curious what others have experienced.

I've only bought one thing from Craigslist, a motorcycle. Couldn't have been a better transaction.

I bought my Mini off Chicago Craigslist. Who'd have thought I'd find Mini Traveller there? But I did!!!

I've bought and sold a few things on Craigslist, including a car. It's not as regulated as eBay so a little more caution is warranted, I think.

On some items, I emailed the seller and got no response! And with others, they bugged the heck out of me for weeks to buy the item I had questions about.

It's just another marketplace, and as always the number one thing to remember: buyer beware! Be absolutely sure about what you're buying.

Well I almost bought a Fiat 600 on craigslist yesterday,,,,,

except the guy never called me back :frown:

that seems to be the biggest problem , contacting the seller to make the deal !

I've used Craiglist to sell and buy lot's of stuff. That's where I got my Spitfire. Had good experiences so far. I like it because it's local.

Kijiji is another option I find better than craigslist

Thanks, I knew it had to work sometimes, but it sounds like some of you also have gotten the no response thing from time to time.
