Greatest invention since.....whatever.

My son in New Orleans can post something to be given away (old washer and dryer, furniture, dirt....you name it), stick it out in front of his house and withing on hour it is gone. The record was 10 minutes for the washer, the dryer took a little longer. A guy showed up in his pickup with the family and some shovels and took the dirt.

Amazing.

Who needs Ebay.

I don't even need to spend the time to list something. Just put it next to the trash can in the alley and poof, gooone.

I have to put a sign on stuff: "Works fine... First $10 takes it!"

THEN it disappears.

Some great deals on Craigslist if you're quick. My son spotted an ad for a Lowrey organ on Thanksgiving Day, about 10 minutes after it was posted. Within an hour he and I had arranged to pick up a fully functional organ...for $20!

And where I live, in relatively rural upstate New York, things sometimes go quickly when they're put up at the end of the driveway by the road. Of course, I once put out some old odds 'n' ends by the road, took a scrap of plywood and some spray paint and made a quick-and-dirty FREE sign. Guess what was the first thing to be taken? (Yeah, it was the sign....)

That is a good deal! I'd charge a lot more for my fully functional organ.

My buddy almost lost a big screen tv and bbq pit that way. He was loadin' up to go tailgatin' and some guys stopped cause "they thought" he was throwin' it away....but it was in the MIDDLE of his driveway.

Not me, I too tried a "free" sign and it didn't work either.

A guy I worked with was doing Spring cleaning.
Put his furniture,etc.,outside.People pulled to the
curb. They were disapointed when they learned that
there wasn't a yard sale going on!
