I have some fresh Lake Pontchartrain crab meat that I made up with Zatarains (New Orleans brand) Crab Cake Mix and am frying them as I type.

Dale, you jus' captured my heart. I lived on Buckroe Beach for quite a while. Many tales of crabs in pots, inflatables and ~stuff~... :devilgrin:


I miss those times somefin' fierce at times.
 
The big man created Ol Bay right before Season salt.
They are actually starting to use it here.
But for some reason, just ain't the same

X2, he need to travel a bit further down past the Mason-Dixon.
 
When my wife used to actually cook, and I could actuall eat things that didn't make me ill, she used to make homemade crab cakes with San Francisco Dungenous crabs. They were great, but my favorites for eating crabs neat are the blue claw. Different strokes etc., but I can't understand what people see in 'Lobster' that come without claws. That's just a big Crawdad.
