TR4/4A CP-Carrillo or Pauter Connecting Rods

Good evening all,

Looking for some feedback on either the CP-Carrillo Connecting Rods or the Pauter Connecting Rods on a TR4 engine.

Has anyone installed these before and if so was there any modification requirements to the engine block or the oil pump housing in order to prevent rubbing or to ensure they have the clearance they need.

I have read posts as an example on the MAXPeedingRods which seems to require the grinding of both the block wall as well as the oil pump assembly.

I would like to avoid having to do such if possible.

Thanks in advance

I have Carrillo in my TR4, but I did not build the engine. The builder, Steve Yott at Silver Lake Triumphs didn't mention anything about having to modify anything.

I have Carrillo rods in my stage 3 motor I has 30k miles on it and revs well past 6500rpm
and has more than proven their worth. The weight saved with the custom pistons/rods
lets the red line to go up a lot when balanced finely.Deep nitrate the crank and the full monty
if you get crazy
