Got word tonight that a soccer referee friend of mine passed away from covid. He had been on a ventilator for a week or so.
It’s hard to believe but I reffed games with him at the beginning of December.
A despicable virus. :blue:

Sorry for the loss of your friend any life lost is a sad day. My friends and club members are still doing well but I know it will happen to someone in the clubs and it will be because of one little mistake. This shot can not come soon enough. Madflyer

Thanks guys.

Condolences, Elliot.
We must all be vigilant, for Danger skulks unseen.

Sad thing to hear of,& this time of year makes it even harder.

Sorry to hear this, Elliot.

Sorry for your loss.

This is such a bad virus in some cases and in others it is almost nothing. My wife knows several people who have had it and said it was like the worst hangover or flu and another who is still not walking. He was on a ventilator for 3 weeks and spent about 7 weeks in hospital. He has been home for 3 months and does therapy every day. He can feed himself now and is making progress towards walking.
