Visited my daughter last week end on the central coast of CA. We went to Cambria and spotted 12 to 15 Morgans (beautiful). They said there were 60 out and about. Later we saw two MGAs and a DeLorian. A lone 3000 passed us going the other way.We were in the 4-Runner so I was very jealous. I guess the central coast is the place to be for British cars.

TH, I recently moved to the Central Coast from the Central Valley. Two weeks ago I was driving south of Highway 1 out of Lompoc and passed another 3000 coming north. Been years since I saw another Healey on the road that wasn't part of an organized event. Was quite a sight.

Must be a recurring event. I ran into a crowd of Morgans last time I was in Cambria.

Used to run into a crowd of Datsun roadsters each May out on Santa Rosa Road (runs between Hwy 101 and Lompoc) too.

I can count on one hand the number of Healeys I have seen in random encounters here in St. Louis, yet I know there are dozens in the area. Either they need to get out more, or I do, or both.

Yeah Tom, you need to get outta that barn and drive your car more....

I spend time in France and on a recent day out, not in my Healey unfortunately, covering around 200 miles, I saw three cars several miles apart. Given how few Healeys there are in France compared to the USA, that was quite a coincidence. Maybe they use them more as shopping cars here. It had nothing to do with Classic Le Mans by the way, it was about a month before that. Personally I like to use my Healey at least three times a week in summer.

Than you are more lucky as this is our third week in Florida and we covered much more miles but I haven,t seen one Austin Healey or other little british car except the ones (which need to be restored anyhow) at a local car specialist imagination engineering at Edgewater.
