Somebody posted about people asking for their bottom line on an ad they placed.
Well this came in yesterday for my 6.

Thought it was humorous, if not maddening the first question out of the gate.

"Hello, can you come down some on the price? Can you confirm the approximate mileage? Are there any problems with the motor? "

 Ah, come on... take off $5.

Don, did they describe your car using different words than exactly what your ad title was? Did they even describe it at all? or was it a reply that could have applied to any vehicle being sold?
If so it was spam. They will reply wanting you to look up the value at such and such a website. In reality they get paid for every person that uses that link. That's all they want. Or worse it's a scam to get your personal info.
I get a few every time I list a car on Craigslist, even if I specifically state that I will not reply to emails.
Some of them grab the title of your ad to "personalize" the spam, and some are pretty convincing as a personal email, but look really close.

I do hope you have created a "throw-away" email address when responding. I just (this weekend) sold my Explorer on Craig's list and I too got some similar questions... I just did not respond to anything that I thought was "fishy" sounding.

Dear sir or madames. I am interested in your car and will gladly pay you MORE than your asking price if you would kindly ship said vehicle to my home in Nigeria. My representative, George Leroy Tirebiter, would like to make contact with you to arrange an exchange. I am appreciate of your severe consideration.
Mr. Umbeki

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately my son wrecked our car so I cannot afford to buy yours right now. I do have some great work at home ideas for you.......
