Anybody ever order furniture from them online?

Yes. We ordered a new bedroom set about 2 years from Costco online. Very happy with it! Good quality and reasonable price.

Ordered a leather couch set in November.
Just showed up
( So much for the 4-6 week delivery)
When the company that sells the couch received the order they called and asked
" Now you know the color is Burgundy"
I answered yes and that is what we wanted

Today the set is delivered and I'm thinking . That looks brown.
Ask the delivery guys what color does that look like
"Brown", they say.

Now the color isn't bad and it might be on the red side of brown so have to wait until SWMBO sees it.
But if they called and specifically asked about Burgundy I was expecting a little more Burgundy

Hmm, we didn't have that problem, although I do recall that the delivery time wasn't exactly super-fast.

I've never dealt with Costco on-line; but we deal with the brick and mortar stores quite often. They always seem anxious to make things right. If you don't like the color, ask about sending it back.

Oh, I'm not to sure that I don't like the color
But...
Is that MY call???

Ah. Like the guys who model the Pennsylvania Railroad ask, "What shade of black is Brunswick Green?"
Maroon. There must be more shades of maroon out there than there are folks who have changed Lucas coils.
For instance:

General Motors Maroon is almost brown, or was back in the 40's and early 50's.
Ford would be called "Burgundy", has a lot of red in it.
My 50 Ford is Maroon. My neighbor's 47 Olds is Maroon. No similarity at all.

Did they have a colour on the website you could see? Did it look brown or "Burgundy"?

Well, yeah, I'd say it was. If you find that you like it, why bother sending it back?

Someone made a mistake somewhere, not sure who (although looking at colors on a computer monitor is notoriously unreliable). But rather than trying to place blame, the important thing now is to find a solution to the problem. One possible solution is for you (and wifey) to decide that you like the color after all. If that doesn't work for you, then get the color changed.

But for sure you can't expect Costco to fix the problem if they don't know you are unhappy. They aren't in the business of creating unhappy customers, I'm sure they didn't do it on purpose.

Personally, I'm not that fond of animal skin that still looks bloody. But to each their own.

Randall, I understand what you are saying

You don't understand what I am saying.
I don't have the rank to make that call
Way above my pay grade:encouragement:

Ah, I see. I meant "you" collectively, to include SWMBO.

(Lessee, it's been awhile since I was in your neck of the country ... should it be "you'uns" or "y'all" ?

Dave there is a color on the website but that is kind of a shot in the dark
Really hard to get color right on websites
