I have been unable to find the correct steel wheel paint color for my '73 TR6. I'd like them to be the correct silver or close enough not to be able to tell the difference. If you can help with any info it would be greatly appreciated.

Argent Silver, It will most likely be listed as a Ford color and should be available at most auto parts stores that sell rattle can paint.

I recommend the Wurth silver wheeel paint usually sold by BMW accessory places. The color is very, very close and the paint is durable. It is intended for painting alloy wheels and being clear coated, but left uncoated it is the right 'dull', muted silver like the original.

I did mine 5 years ago and they still look great.

If you are going to do all the wheels,my suggestion, get a can of Argent and go to your local powder coater and paint a sample piece of metal. Compare all the silvers they use and have them paint all of them with the closest match.
