Correct steering wheel for Series III

Some Alpines have a plain steering wheel, with no horn ring, and a black padded center with a chrome button, while others have a horn ring and a lion logo center. Would one or the other be correct for my Series III, or was the fancy steering wheel a factory or dealer-installed option?
 
Here's another question to add to the confusion. I just saw a picture of a steering wheel that has a single piece coming out at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions, with two holes on each side. The poster said that this was used in series 3-5, and all Tigers. Can anyone verify or refute this?

Hmmm. That sounds like the OEM horn ring.

Hard to remember, I went to an aftermarket steering wheel so long ago...
