which is the correct one for the BN2? I have seen them as short as 12-18 in and as long as the entire steering colum. What gives?
thanx

Tim,
It depends upon what kind of steering column you have. If you have the adjustable column you will have a two piece stator with a short piece by the steering wheel and a long one internal to the column that runs the length of it. If you have a non adjustable then there is a one piece stator that runs the length of the column. Hopefully you still have the trafficator as the replacements for the BN2 are very expensive if available at all.

According to the "books", the BN1's through December 1953 had two piece adjustable steering columns. Later BN1's & all BN2's had the longer fixed columns.

The fixed (long) column cars would have a narrower 1 5/8" wide dashboard slot.

Hello Tim,

In addition I can tell you, that the non adjustable trafficator has the odd looking horn push ( which will make it the longe version) and is much bigger that the one of the adjustable trafficator (short stator tube version).

Kind regards
