Can someone tell me how to find the correct stanpart numbers for a 69 TR6? I specifically need the correct Stanpart numbers for the hub, caliper, caliper mounting bracket, and verticle link at the moment. Thanks,

Kevin

RH caliper 307976
LH caliper 307977
Hub, front, wire wheel 114283
Hub, front, disc wheel 114284
(only difference in hubs is length of wheel studs)
RH Vertical Link 307215
LH Vertical Link 307216
RH caliper bracket 133499
LH caliper bracket 133500

I got these numbers from my copy of the Stanpart TR6 Spare Parts Catalogue, P/N 517785, 1st Ed. But unless there were supercessions to a later number, you should be able to find the same information in the on-line TRF catalog:

Thanks so much as always Randall! My car sat in storage for 25 years. I thought I would be lucky in that everything would be relatively unmolested. As I continue to go through this car, I am finding the PO made lots of little subtle, irritating changes. When something is not working correctly, I can normally trace it back to PO work.

One last question. Where would the Stanpart number be for the front hub? All I can find is "T9" on the face of the passenger side and nothing on the driver side. Also, is there a hub from another Triumph that would fit the TR6 but be different enough to cause problems?

AFAIK, it's not marked on the hubs. In fact, most items are not marked with Stanpart numbers; especially those actually sourced from other manufacturers.<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:] Also, is there a hub from another Triumph that would fit the TR6 but be different enough to cause problems? [/QUOTE]Sorry, can't help there. Stag hubs would probably fit the spindle, but I don't know if the brake disc would line up or not; and I have no idea about other Triumphs.

Perhaps if you told us what problems you are seeing, someone might recognize the symptoms. There are a lot of folks on BCF; there's almost no mistake that someone hasn't made sometime. Mine have been mostly TR3A mistakes (with Stag mistakes a close second)

I know the feeling; my project TR3 was in storage for 30 years, but still has lots of DPO-isms. Apparently assembled from two different cars with the wrong front apron, fenders that are different colors inside and so on. Turn signals were a toggle switch on the dash!

Just think of it as an adventure ... part auto mechanics, part archeology.
