Anybody know of a write-up for where decals should be placed on the TR7. When I first got mine all it had on it was the front Solihull emblem and the rear Triumph badge. I've gotten new decals and the 2.0 litre badges to put on, but was hoping to find some more exact info than just eyeballing it!
Speaking of decals - I'd like to get a set of those 'V8' decals that are on the hood of a TRB.think they'd look neat on the custom MGC/GT6 hood I've got on my V8 MGB
Just an idea.... I have never owned a TR7, but the Moss Motors Catalogue seems to show at least an approximate placement for the TR3 decals (of course these are all under the bonnet). If you call the guys at Moss, they may have some reference material to pass on to you. If not, try to contact British Motor Heritage for any information they may have on hand... Good luck, I am sure the info is out there somewhere.
The link on Wedgeparts showed the back decal placement...so that will definitely help. So the others I need help with are the 2.0 litre badges and the front Solihull built badges...I'll make a couple calls...I'm guessing Moss may have the info, but I'll also try wedgeparts and TRF.
I can probably place the front badge based on my before pictures (I should've taken measurements), but the 2.0 litre badges were MIA when I got the car...so the only pictoral references I have are from Bill Piggot's book...
You might have seen an aftermarket decal/transfer. Is the "V8" badge your reffering to chrome like you see on the MGB V8. I did find one "V8" transfer for tr8s in the Rimmer Bros catalogue Part number RB7306Black. TR8s came with a "3.5 Litre" badge.
