Correct headlight surrounds for Tiger

I have seen some Tigers with chrome headlight surrounds and some with body color. Which is correct? Was this a difference between series I& series II?
 
It seems to me I read that the chrome headlight surrounds were transfers from a Hillman, but the application I saw was on an Alpine. I don't believe Tigers or Alpines were ever offered w/ the chrome pieces. No resources to back this up, just a sometimes faulty memory.
 
I'm pretty sure you're right, Ryan. All of the photos I've seen of 'Beams with the chrome surrounds have been UK cars, implying that the Hillman chrome units are readily available there but not in the US.
