correct Dash board color

We ( I am helping out) are just starting the assembly of a frame off restoration of a 1954 100-4.
The aluminum dashboard was black with a greenish color around the gages.
Both the black and the green will need to be redone.
What is the proper green for this area??
Is it available anywhere?

The dash color depends on the body color. I believe most of the dashes were originally two tone with silver in the raised area around the instruments. The remaining color depends on the body color. I think it is black for red or black cars, white for white cars, blue for ice blue cars and green for spruce green cars. There are probably other combinations, hopefully someone will chime in with more accurate details.

We carefully removed the original paint on the dash of our OEW BN2, and we didn't find any evidence of silver paint. Have heard that may be the case with later 100s--ours is a '1956'--or some 'oddballs' that came off the line. Also learned--too late to restore correctly--that ours was one of the BN2/100M cars that had the chassis painted black from the scuttle forward (we noted that the engine compartment was painted black, but assumed that was done by a DPO):

There doesn't seem to be any hard & fast rule. My '54 BN1 was originally Healey Blue with blue trim. The dash was black with silver instrument area. When I restored the car in 2003, I painted the dash dark blue to match the trim. John Wheatley in England has a 100 that is often used as a benchmark as it is a one owner car. This Healey Blue car has a blue dash with no contrasting colour around the instruments.

Thanks for the information.
Car is a 54 and was originally one color red. It was repainted with the correct red.
The dash is black except around the raised area.
The raised area color could have been silver although it looks like a faded green.
The car has been sitting (apart in a garage) for at least 25 years.
I will be probably asking a bunch of questions here in the next couple of months.
