Copy Cad system

Caswell sells a "Copy Cad" system for finishing metal parts in Cad-like finish (either dull, silver, yellowish, etc). It is not tru CAD but looks very good in pictures. I was wondering of anyone had any experience with this system and how difficult it is to use?

what is cad? Is it like anodized aluminum?

Hi Basil,
Most of the Caswell nickel plating I did was in June ’05. The finish is holding up nicely so far. The process isn’t difficult at all. If you want a mirror finish on your parts, you’ll spend more time sanding and polishing than the actually plating. Basically, you clean and degrease your parts, wire them and the anode up to a DC power supply, put them in the plating solution, and start cooking.

Yep, sounds just like anodizing aluminum. I've done that on the cheap before.
