Copper rivets

Ok, they're not rivets, but they are copper. I'm looking for the copper fasteners that hold the 3 metal mounting strips on the backer board for the Bugeye door panels. I've tried searching with Google, but no joy.
thanks, Rut

https://www.spaenaur.com/ not exactly sure what you are looking for, but, go here, go to "Page Flip Catalog" search copper rivets and see what you see. They do sell the individually and I am by there regularly - so as long as you can wait a week or two, I'd be happy to pick them up - I suspect they will be very inexpensive.

Try googling for "split rivets". These worked great when I redid my Bugeye door pockets.

Thanks JP, they have steel, brass and copper finish, but no copper. TexasSprite, I've been able to find split and bifurcated rivets, but can't find the combination I'm looking for. I would like to replace original for original since the copper split rivets were about the only thing not corroded on the doors. I was very gentle removing my old ones and I may reuse them if push comes to shove.
thanks, Rut

Ray,
thanks, the ones I need are 1/4" long and pretty stout. They hold the metal bracket parts to the door panels.
thanks, Rut

Understood. Here are shots of the front and back of a set of door pockets that I'm going to restore to sell.

The top of the fastener measures about 3/8". The length is about 3/8" as well. The brass fasteners from an office supply store are worth a shot.

Ray,
the more I research these rivets I find that they are available in brass and steel, but not copper. I can find copper in the larger size split rivets and I can find the ones I need in antique tins from GB, but they are a little expensive. If I had to I could use 1/4" aluminum pop rivets and flatten the inside with a punch.
thanks, Rut

Are they visible once installed that copper is important for originality?

Its not that difficult to make a rivet....especially if using something as soft as copper. Find some copper wire about the right size and have at it. Drill a hole the size of the wire...stick the wire thru and clamp a vise then tap gently on the wire sticking thru the drilled strap till you form a head. Cut to length and you have a rivet.

Kurt.
