Would it be helpful to use the aftermarket fan offerd if you were not worried about show condition? Sounds like a good idea to me. Thanks, Ray

Ray,

Not sure which A'mkt fan you are refering to. The six blade flex fans, either metal or plastic are an improvement over the four blade fans. A lot of people like the "Texas Cooler" plastic fan.

I purchased an assymetrical plastic 5-blade from Denis Welch--it fits on the pulley with no adaptor needed. I'm told that the sheet-metal siz-bladed fans have been known to come apart, causing great damage to radiators and sheet metal.

I installed a 6 bladed "Texas Cooler" after-market fan for my 67 BJ8 last summer, it made a significant difference in running temp at low speed and idle. Easy to do, tip the radiator forward (don't need to remove)and install. All for $45 and some skinned knuckles. You can view it at NTAHC.org, click on "Healey regalia and other stuff" for pictures and info. Good luck.

Thanks folks, the "Texas Cooler" looks like a very smart idea, I will order one. I might live in Massachusetts, but we had about 40 days last year over 90 degrees. We have long cold snowy winters and hot humid summers. (always looking to relocate!) Regards, Ray

Any of you guys know if the Texas Cooler will fit Triumph TR6 ? .. the plastic cooling fans for our cars are not available anymore.

I have an electric fan on now and really dislike it a lot. I am looking for a manual fan that will work well and fit without too much altering.

thanks ..
