cool hardtop.....oh well

Dos'nt look so bad once you price a new soft top. Some things have inflated!! I'd love to have one but could'nt make the trip to pick it up anyway so guess I will do without.

I'm taking a "if it falls in my lap" mentality. I'll get one if I stumble across a good deal, otherwise, not a big deal.

That's the additude I took. I purchased mine a year ago ($300) and restored it myself (you can see how I did it by doing a search on the BCF). Cost about another $100.00 I still need to purchase the rubber goods and rechrome the latches. It will work well when the car is finally done and how many do you see with an original hardtop.

Yeah Tony, but where are you going to find another one. I've seen a couple floating around but they all seen to be bought up pretty quickly. Having one would make the car more usable, so seems like it would be nice to have.
Listen, I've been looking for a factory hardtop for my MkI Midget since I got the car years ago with no luck....I have factory hardtops for all my other Midgets & MGB's but no luck with the MkI Midget.....but, I wouldn't have paid $700 for it, no way.

Not off topic, but could someone pm me the best way to re-size pictures for posting?
I’d love to post a picture or two of my hard tops. I keep hitting the picture too large bit. Resizing isn’t a strong point for me (along with countless other things).
I had a Warwick top for a 64 MKII sprite back in the 80's I wish I'd kept. Traded it for something....wished I didn't now!

Powertoys for windows xp

Google it, one of them is a really great resizer.

This one caught my eye because it said Midget factory but didn't look it to my untrained eye. Seems it was BE factory, which is more rounded and better looking than MK1 Midget factory, IMHO. If I knew for sure I could get a BE one to fit, I'd keep an eye out for both....but....

I had the top off tonight, about 55 degrees, bright sun and fall colors were glorious, just a quick little run is all I had time for but the natural state for these is in their roadster form I am convinced. I may rarely put a hardtop on but something makes me want to get one.
