Just leave it and if it's meant to be, it'll be yours at a price you can afford at the proper time.
 
If you can swing the 4 bills then just do as Jack suggests, the worst that can happen is they say no - and the best is you go home with a car.
 
Doug from the way you have been describing your life lately, getting this car for free is too costly. you need to declutter your life. A "good deal" is only a good deal if it suits your life, otherwise it is just stuff. Don't get distracted from the bird in hand by the Sprite in the bush.
