Walked around the local wrecking yard today.
Nothing really interesting,until I came accross a
'63 Sprite.
Almost complete,new tires,nice original steel
wheels, new LF fender, only minor surface rust on the
body,excellent stock seats.
Missing items - rear lights,bumpers,headlights,
tach,speedometer,& the top.
If the price was right,I would have bought it
right then,& then decide whether to save it for someone
else,or cover it up & keep it.
They wouldn't give me a price, still waiting on
the owner & paperwork.

That's worth saving in my opinion

Doug - sweet find!!
I hope you can get it, a MK2 Sprite is a nice little car and those things that are missing are pretty easily replaced. WOW!

I went by today,& picked up a couple of parts
for the Dakota.I was told that they wanted $800 for it.
I was thinking a LOT less.

- Doug

Did you offer $300?
Maybe they would come down to $400 - $500?

Or were you thinking lower? When you say "Excellent seats" do you mean recoverable or usable? Usable excellent early seats are worth $$$ (hundreds).

Wow that's a cool find!!

I'll try & get some pictures. When I was out there yesterday,
went to get the camera out of the truck,and....left it at home.

Doug, I don't know if you got my emails.
It sure looks good to me, if you add up what you would pay for the good stuff in that car you should come to the conclusion that its worth saving. I would still start off with an offer of $400 and hope to leave with it for about $550.
Of course I'm here in the NW and you know how the deals are here.

Take four 100 dollar bills and be ready to take it home.

Have you looked through it to see if there's any other parts maybe under that door or something?
Having the bits and pieces would sure be nice although the same tail lights and head lights and license plate plinth was used for several years.

Looks good to me, wish it was in my local junk yard it would soon be next to Miss Agatha.

What about that FJ40 in the background?
Nice find. The Spridget has potential.

$800 if you must.
