This thread is open for discussion and information about convoys being organized to travel to the big 75th anniversary Healey meeting at Lake Tahoe next June. There is safety - and more fun! - in numbers, so talk it over with your club and your Healey-owning friends and see if you can get something organized. A convoy can be as few as two cars or as many as you can round up. Healey 75 will be epic, and convoying there with friends will make it truly a memory of a lifetime.

And don't overlook the possibility of shipping cars to the event. Getting together with other owners may yield more attractive rates if purchasing a group shipment.

Reid--Thanks for putting this topic up as a "sticky" so that it will stay at the top of the opening page through the event.

I'm registered and will be driving out and back from my home outside of Washington DC, planning to arrive on Sunday. I'm not a big fan of Interstate travel but it does allow for more predictability so at this point I'm thinking of driving out via I-70 to Lincoln NE, then taking I-80 to Reno, NV and local roads to Tahoe, hopefully driving home more slowly via US 50 with possible diversions for sites near the route, etc.

In 2002 I was part of a group of perhaps 25 Healeys that travelled to Open Roads in Tahoe. To celebrate the marque's 50th anniversary we began the trip in Ocean City, MD, the eastern terminus of US 50, which was the primary route all the way to Tahoe with a few side trips to sites such as Pike's Peak and Bonneville. Most days we usually broke up into smaller groups according to peoples' likes but it was fun and somewhat reassuring to know that friends and assistance were close at hand.

I'm looking forward to learning others' plans.

Best--Michael Oritt

For those heading to the event from the east, the MG Club Rocky Mountain Centre will be hosting the 75th running of the Rallye Glenwood Springs on June 4-6, 2027. This event is the longest continuously running TSD Ralllye in North America! Glenwood Springs is a bit under 900 miles from Lake Tahoe with a couple different options for travel routes.

In 2027, the Friday leg (Denver > Glenwood Springs) will be the TSD rallye; starting time is typically 8:01 am MT (first car leaves) and has happy (frustrated?) participants in Glenwood Springs by Happy Hour. The Saturday leg will be the Gimmick rallye which begins and ends in Glenwood Springs. There are options to participate in single day events. Notably, there were NO Healeys (big, small, or otherwise) that participated in 2026 (admittedly, I drove the BGT).

Feel free to DM me with questions or interest.
