Converting Positive ground to Negative ground

I know there are a few sites out there that address this conversion, but I seem to do better with direct responses from the knowledgable people in this forum.
I have a 73'B roadster, and I am wanting to convert it over to negative ground so I can install a new stereo in it next week.
Can some of you help me make this simple and painless, so I can finally hear the tunes my ears so desperately crave, at stop lights/signs that is.

Art - The 73 came with negative ground. Look at which battery terminal is going to ground - it should be the negative terminal. Also, if it has an alternator vice a generator, it is negative ground. If not, somebody has done a number to your car. If you find that the car was changed to positive ground (and I can't imagine why it would have been), then see the article, Polarity Change in the Other Tech Articles section of my web site at: https://homepages.donobi.net/sufuelpumps/

You guys are right as always. I just have always assumed because of the negative cable being red. The red cable is attached to the frame on the other side of the battery box, and the black comes from the front. It makes me think what else I have hooked up with the assumption being wrong. I will check today...
