convertible top windows fogged

I have found a product called Meguiar's plastx cleaner and polish. Anyone know if it works as advertised? Windows are obviously fogged(top is 12 years old).
 
I have used the Meguiar's product and have found pretty good results if the scratches are not too deep. It is important to start with a very clean plastic window as the product is a light abrasive. If there is dirt on the window, you can scratch it even worse (don't ask how I know that). There are also numerous products for aircraft windows that work well.
 
Thanks, what do you suggest to clean the window first? The car has been garaged for 2 years and there is a buildup of dirt, dust, grime, etc.
 
Tom. I'd try an air hose first, or a vacuum cleaner, to get the majority of it off, then follow with warm water and mild detergent.
Then you can go to the polish of your choice.
Sometimes, however, no amount of work can bring a window back to life.

I have now bought six different products all supposed to do the job. If they are yellow....forget it. If they are white fog, the best was first to use 3M Imperial clear coat safe rubbing compound to get the scratches. I used a slow orbital rechargable waxer polisher. Faster melts the plastic. Takes time. Then I moved up the scale from there to finer and finer rubbing compounds. Finally the old British Army Jeep Meguiar's product will shine it up. BUT remember, if it is yellow, give up. The plastic is shot all the way through. The yellow on mine came from LA smog.
