Contratulations to Ed K., 1st Place Big Healey

Congrads Ed!
Dude you rock. You took first place, at an MG car show, in a Healey.

Oh I get it. And just to make sure, your car is the red one with the award. Very nice!

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif Red tops Green again, congrats Ed, really nice looking car. Must have been the light bar on front that did it. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Be careful what you say about that green car. I believe it also belongs to a forum member. There were several big Healeys at this year's show. I'd say there was a record turn out for all marques. Ed's Healey was a super stand out, a real head turner.

Thank You all.

This was my first car show. I had a good time seeing all the other cars, talking to the other owners, spending a nice day with my wife, Charlie and his fiancée, and meeting Doug. I especially enjoyed having my Dad there for a while as folks that he hadn't seen for years stopped to talk to him, ( he restored a 1/2 dozen LBCs many years ago as a hobby). In fact, an MGTD that he had restored years ago was entered in the show. I don't know how it did but it still looked great.
The 1st place was a nice but was not the best part of my day at the car show !

Ed

The car show was great and yes, that is my green Big Healey beside Ed's great red car. Ed deserved the trophy! His car was a stand out among six Big Healeys that were there. It was a pleasure meeting his father and hearing about his days of car restoration. We had a great day with perfect weather. There were about 130 cars there and the six Big Healeys seemed to just draw people to them. Many kudos to the MG car club who put the event together. They are masters at organizing shows and trips. The first place trophy Ed was awarded had a large picture of him sitting in his car on the plaque. The MG club had taken individual pictures of each car as it passed through registration and then printed the winners pictures in time to have them on the 1st place trophy. Very nice!!
We look forward to the next event.

Charlie

Thanks. And I still want to get up to the Blue Ridge Parkway with the top down. I'll stop and pay you a visit when I get up that way. Perhaps we can attend one of the Triad Healey club meetings as it is the closest Healey club to Raleigh. That is why I joined the local MG club because it is a long way to the Triad club meetings. Charlie has been to one though and he lives in Oriental so I guess I am being lazy.
Ed

Congrats Ed! Just the inspiration I needed to go out to the garage and do some more work on my Jag!
