Thought I might try restoring my old 57 ALFA giulietta spider. So I went to the Reoriginals web site to print out the parts and price list. I now have a mild stroke and can't talk, and can't close my eyes. I have written on a chaulk board telling my wife to bury me in the cars trunk. A car-soughigus.

"A car-soughigus" Heh that one is pretty good. I checked out prices on parts for those, they are pretty steep.

Thought I would see what caused the problems and yes you are right but steep is a mild word for those prices.

Yeah I had a similar car (newer) for a brief time.
But you know, some of the parts may be Lucas. I saw a Spider with a Lucas generator and distributor one time.
The big problem I recall was valve-seats falling out of the head.
They are nice cars though.....if you get sick of it, call me up and I'll give it a nice home in New Jersey.
There are times when I think I prefer Italian and French cars to British one. ALFAs are really the only classic car on a par with Bugatti (in my opinion).

Well I love my ALFA too, but come on, set of 4 syncros for MGB $38.00 ALFA $560.00. Set of ball joints. TR6 uppers $80.00 Alfa set of 4 $840.00. Chrome rocker trim TR6 $80.00 ALFA $290.00. Trunk hinges TR3 $40.00 ALFA $560.00. Stale pizza $95.00/xtra cheese $130.00. I will probably get sent a bill just for looking at his web site. I think this guy quite his law pratice cause not enough money.

I have a club member asking me to do the rockers on his Duetto. Oh well It's not my money.

I've a nice, solid, straight '84 Alfa I'm going to sell - I'll never get around to restoring it & its too good to just sit like its been doing----a one-owner car at that!
