Connection the Engine to Gearbox [pics]

Well, it is better to find that out sooner than later.....It is a learning experience and we are here to help each other out. So, a little step backwards to set it right and then you will be good to go. All part of the adventure in ownership and care of a LBC.

Cheers,
Tush

Miser, also make sure you have the two 3/8" dowels (3/8 shoulder bolts can be used) installed to center bellhousing to engine plate, which also centers the throw out bearing. Not doing this will make for a jerky clutch release. There are two precision 3/8 holes in the bell housing and the engine plate. one is the third hole up from top starter bolt and the other(drivers side) is three up from bottom.
The starter mounting bolts are also 3/8 but not precision drilled holes.

The gearbox to block is a 5/16" UNF and is torqued to 22 ft lbs.

Only on Stags.
