Confused with starting/ignition/timing

Bruce, you won't find any flames here. Many of us have been with this forum since it's inception, or shortly thereafter, and have a true appreciation and respect for LBC's and their owners. I've been dealing with British cars for over 40 years, and there are many others here with much more experience than I.
To foster the growth, or even the continuation, of the hobby, (or obsession /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif), I think every question should be answered to the best of our abilities. None of us were born with this knowledge, and we had to ask the same questions early in our journey.
Welcome aboard, and hope you enjoy.
1275's are FUN!

Bruce_B, that's what seperates this site from all the others. We aren't here to bash each other or tout our skills. There are a lot of people on this board and each one contributes something. I've asked my share of questions (some of them were way out in left field) and each time I get an informative and respectful answer. Don't be scared to ask here just be ready to learn.

And,some of us "older" members who have "forgotten more than you youngsters ever knew", rely on all of you to remind us of all that stuff we have forgotten! This is the "Git'er done!!" forum! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Glad you found it too, Bruce!

The "go read the book" answer is also implied here, but not with any arrogance. It takes "seeing" a problem from several different views, it's all information leading to understanding what's actually happening. We're all here to ENJOY these cars, not to dissuade a neophite owner from the things. Basil's site is THE BEST place on the 'net to promote that enjoyment.

We're kinda quick to reply too, so don't wander off! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Welcome to the bin! Enjoy!
