TR2/3/3A Confused TR3A owner

Maybe a foolish question but... I have been at shows and seen the speedometer on the right of the tach and on the left of it. Which is the correct position?

Depends on the year of the car. The change was made at some point in TR3A production (someone here will have the change point handy; I don't) to move the speedometer closer to the passenger/"navigator" for rallying, etc.

Piggott says the switch occurred at TS29098 (Mar 58).
